This 30' x 42', 1-1/2 Story Barn is similar to our 24' x 36', 1-1/2 Story barn.  This one is for those who just need a little more room! It uses simple mortise and tenon joinery making it easy to cut for anyone with a few common tools. It features three garage bays on the front of the first floor with a man door along the right side. A four-foot knee wall allows for a full second story with generous ceiling heights, lending to many uses for the space. The frame uses 8x8 posts, 8x12 plate beams, 3x14 ridge beams, 8x14 girders, 6x10 and 3x10 joists, 8x10 band joists, 4x10 rafters, 4x6 knee braces, 3x8 sill plate covers, and 4x4 siding nailers.
